To my dear Pipke
In My Heart
I thought of you with love today, but that's nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name.
Now all I have is memories, and your pictures in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake, with which I’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
I have you in my heart.
Pipke
Oh, Fran, I feel for you.
ReplyDeleteJust recently my Mom mentioned talking to a stranger about their experiences with their dogs - this man had a young bouvier, the type of dog my family had when I was young - and it was very nice for my parents to talk to the man about the dogs; what they do, how they act, etc. It brought back lovely memories, but also the sadness because - of course - they are all not here anymore. (at least not here in the same form)
Take care. :)
-t-
I'm sure you can understand and feel what an exceptional sweet little critter Pipke was after seeing the YouTube film -t-.
ReplyDeleteShe wasn't just a duck.
She really loved to cuddle me, this was her morning ritual.
What a coincidence -t-!
Not so long after Pipke died I was waiting at a railway crossing together with an old lady with a greyhound. While we were waiting there she began to chat with me about animals. Actually I can compare this conversation with your story.
It became a very emotional conversation with a continuation.
It even ended in a friendship.
Maybe I will write a post about this on “my nest”.
So keep an eye on it.
Thanks for feeling with me.:)
